Do i really need to click on the "install" button? is it ok if i just download the code only?

You do not have to click the install button, however, it feels good for a coder to know that people found his/her hack usefull and people are installing it.

Also, if you click on the install button, you'll get updates per email if there are ever any security problems or big updates.

It's a nice way to thank a coder for all there hard work. I click install on every hack I use, because I would like others to do the same with my hacks.

And you can then get to a list of Installed hacks quickly using the option at the bottom of the Quick Links dropdown box.

Yes. It's the polite thing to do - as well as the above advantages.

I mainly do this so that I can easily find what hacks I have installed. And it is also nice for the coders to know how many people have installed they hack.
