A Working login for main page?

Looking for a mod that I can add to my main php page that will allow people to login from the main page and display a welcome and a link to the forums..

I tried the "Login from nonvb page" hack but I get a cookie error..any help would be awesome!

You can use my attached file, it works great for me. You can always edit what it shows in the logged in user's welcome area.

Replace:

print("<align='center'><span class='sectionheader'>Welcome back, <br>$username!<br><a href=forums-dir/login.php?do=logout&amp;u=$bbuserinfo[userid]> Log Out?</a>");

With:

print("<align='center'><span class='sectionheader'>Welcome back, <br>$username!<br><a href=forums-dir/login.php?do=logout&amp;u=$bbuserinfo[userid]> Log Out?</a> - <a href=forums-dir/index.php>Enter Forums</a>");

Or, edit it to your liking
