changed registration template

Change registration template (which can be seen be going to the registration section of www.youradultworld.com) and although I like the way it works right now, please keep in mind all I have done is changed the template so any data collected will obviously not be stored in the database. Please help me figure out what to do next. Do I have to do something in register.php so that I can store the data so that it can later on be retrieved?

Oh, and I want to have the registration check to make sure the zip code the user entered is in our database of zip codes so it doesn't later cause any errors, but since I'm not to this point yet, how can I atleast make sure the user doesn't enter any spaces, letters, or anything besides 5 digits (such as 06705 which is my zipcode)
