Question about threads and forums.
This prolly wont even get answered you guys are busy alot but here goes...I NEED a way to make users to ONLY be able to have 1 thread in a specific forum at a time...I NEED this will help me and mods TON..please help..I am sure there is a hack already out but I searched could not find.....this will prolly require modification to newthread.php maybe....but I dont know ANYTHING else.
can NEONE help me??? |

run a query in newthread.php that grabs any/all threads in the current forum (which is like $thread[forumid] in newthread.php I think) Then, do an condition check and if there is a value, print some sort of error, or redirect, etc.
Did you mean code it for you, or give you the jist of how to do it? |

lol I meant like a hack that automatically does it if possible cause I am not the brightest light bulb in the package if anyone can help me with it I would apreciate...maybe even pay.

Does this have to be a dynamic (configurable) option, or a 1 time file edit?

sounds ++++IN AWESOME if u can do it. See I just want it so that it wont let them make a new thread in a SPECIFIC forum until there other one is gone. I only need this for one forum section..but it would help SSOOOOOO much have u got aim, msn or anything like that?
