There may be a hack out there for this but one thing you can do is set your "users online" time higher, I have mine set for 60 minutes. In your admin panel vBulletin Options > Cookies and HTTP Header Options > Time-Out for Cookie. Set that in seconds to a longer time and it will help make it appear that your board has more users, it will also be easier on your database in the long run.

It will however really slow your board down if set too high.
MarcoH64, I have always heard that the longer you set it for, the less resources it takes. Not that it's correct though, can you explain how that works exactly? I would like to know for sure, thanks.
Well one of the effects i know of is that it will keep users longer in the datastore after their last action.
This will mean that the Online Users list will be longer, and that there will be pulled info from database about more users. It effect can really be extreme with the Who Was Online installed.
I once was on a board that had cookies set to 3 days. Board owner wanted his board to look really busy. His server crashed regular.
