I know where index.php is, and accessed that through FTP but where is

that any help would be appreciated...

Point your browser to admincp/index.php and click Styles & Templates

the forumhome template is in admincp-->styles & templates-->style manager then click the drop down list on the style u want to edit (ie default) and then click edit templates then click << >> and look down the list and find FORUMHOME then click customize and it will bring up an edit box.
