I am building a site for local community that will include forum for classifieds, articles from local newspaper, local news, etc.

I would like to add a directory of local businesses and important phone numbers kinda like a yellow pages listing would...is there anything out there that could accomodate this?

yep the vb trader (and lite ver) has a classifieds directory

actually just looking for the phone book directory piece...i have photopost classifieds for the classified section and plan on using the articles hack for that area...

the new lite version will allow you to charge your members to advertise! ... this also has a paypay gateway to automate the process
