Is there anyway you can limit the number of times a member can download an attachment?

I have a protected forum where only members of a certain usergroup can download attachments. But I suspect people are giving away their login info so that their friends can download as well.

Its possible but overtime its going to add quite abit of overhead to the forum. :/

Im hoping this hack could still be made, and how much overhead to the forum are we speaking, it would only be a few extra queries wouldnt it?

No, I'm talking more about the storage overhead, You'd have to store each member, and how many times they downloaded it, on a very large site this could be alot of extra storage and querys.
