Using flatfiles for templates
As designer the template engine of the vBulletin is a piece of bull++++ because the hole time you have to copy & paste, can use an editor and so on. That is why I'm searching for a hack which allows to use flat files for the templates.
I saw there some codelines in the vBulletin source, but was not able to figure out how it works. Greetings Reimer |

The code works but not without some changes to it, and even then it just dumps them to files IIRC. It wont use them at leaast I don't think so. Including all thoughs flat files could be insanely resource intensive rather than making calls to the datastore. |

I love the system as well. I like the idea of being able to edit pages on my website without having to load anything other than my browser.
What is it you don't like about it? |

The system ist great, but in the moment I'm dealing with massive changes of the source and this is not possible by using the online version. At the end I should be a true valid XHTML which means less HTML.
I have been dealing with forums for a very long time. This change is only for development and will be later removed again. |
