Quick reply and footer taking its time to load up why?

When i view threads, everything loads up very quick but its taking 1 - 2 seconds for the quick reply to load up, then another 1 - 2 seconds for the footer to load. The footer loads quick everywhere else (forum home) i just don't understand what it might be. I have no uncatched templates?

Any suggestions?

Here are the stats from my micostats:

Everything seems ok. Do you think its my pc? or my server? It loads everything, the status bard sasy "done" but I then have to wait about 2 seconds for the quicky reply to load and then a further 2 seconds for the footer to load. Very weird.

That's actually normal. The Quick Reply never comes up *straightaway* It always stops for a second or so after loading all the post tables, then again when loading the footer.

It's not a problem on your behalf. ^_^

ok thanks but vbulletin.org (this site) looks pretty instant to me. Never mind, maybe its the smilies hack i added for the quick reply.

its doing my head in, it never used to take 2 - 3 seconds to load. I'm going to install a test forum with no hacks of anything and see if i still have the same proble. The quick reply box on this site loads up instantly.

I first noticed this problem on vB2, where Quick Reply was a hack. It is less pronounced on vB3 but it's still noticeable on a dialup.

You'll probably find the smilies hack has nothing to with it, I have that and tried removing it but to no avail.

That's likely the javascript as it loads?
