I am going to use Erwins hack to use a form to automaticly post a thread. To force users to use this form I would like to disable the new threads button (closing the forum) but still allow replys to threads. Is this possible? if not is there a hack that will allow this?

Just set permissions such that users can't start new threads but can reply to them.
