Hey guys,

I've been able to only install hacks that DON'T involve editing the "functions.php" file in the includes folder. Everytime I try and edit it and put it back, the forum won't load at all and tells me there's an error in line 1887, everytime. I'm not sure why I can't edit the file. I've even tried putting only a comment and that messes up the file for some reason. I've reuploaded the file from the fresh install, but still no go. Do I have to change something somewhere else first?

Anyone experience the same thing or have a clue? I'd like to install hacks like the vbPets and the uCash/uShop hack, but those involved editing the functions.php file.

May I reccomend a good text editor like UltraEdit, Textpad or EditPlus
