This may be a stupid question but is it possible to search PM's? Or is there a hack for this? I've looked everywhere, thanks

vbulletin does not supports searching pms yet

nor there is a hack yet.

its going to be better if this is added as a feature to vbulletin instead of a hack

I agree with SaN-Deep on this, but with no telling when a version of vB will be released with that functionality, it may still do to make this into a modification. If it's done proper it could become that official PM search support

It is not a VB3 engine, just a parsed copy!
