I want to create a forum and sooner or later create income from advertisement. How difficult is it to rearange pages in order to create room for the advertisement.

That's not hard at all. Using the built in template system you can change any page you like easily from the Admin CP.
Using Template Conditionals, you can even pick what usergroups see the ads and which ones dont.
