Can anyone help me add news?

I have tried various news script, vB power pages etc. but all seem to
give me the same problem. (no content)

Here is the code for my cutenews:

Its pretty simple but whenever I try to get it to display withing
my templates it just shows blank. Can anyone tell me how to
make this work?

I have been up for 24 hours straight trying to manipulate this
snipet i'm at my witts end :disappointed:
