Submitting info to the mysql database
I had this working before, but then I wiped the table from the database and added it again (under the same name as before) with more fields. I also edited the files to reflect the new fields.
The problem I'm having is the submissions page. I can add information manually to the database via phpMyAdmin, but the submission form I made isn't working anymore, although it appears that it does... nothing is actually sent to the table in the db. I've attached a screen shot of the table in my db.... And also I've attached the file that is my submission form, found here: http://www.neropolis.com/cbd/submitbio.php As I said I can manually enter the information in phpMyAdmin, and it shows up correctly here: http://www.neropolis.com/cbd/bioslist.php But when I go to submit info from the submission form it doesn't make it to the db and I can't figure out what I changed to make it screw up like this. I've even tried using the old file, but that didn't work either which makes me think it's something in the table that's different that is screwing things up. Any idea? |

Try setting the image field to allow nulls (in fact, do it for all the fields).

It was like that before and it didn't work.. I changed it to Not Null.. but I'll change it back and see what happens.

The site has been kind of slow tonight.. could it just be that the information is timing out before getting to the db?

Nevermind.. the people at phpBuilder.com got me squared away on this one. Thanks anayway.
But if anyone knows of any good tutorials on how to submit and store images to the sql database I'd appreciate it. Thanks |
