Default vB Competition Ideas wanted!
Hey there everybody,

We are going to have a nice competition where we will be giving away a free vb license, but in order to do so we need to have a competition.

Does anybody here have a nice idea that could bring us more members and posts?

If you are talking about this site, it is pretty obvious that a competition should be made that encourages creative hacking.

If you're looking for more members, well, that's a job for Jelsoft sales over on vb.com one would think

You could just give to me, thus eliminating the stress of a competition.

One of the reasons to have a competition is to get the site known with new public, get more members to sign up and hopefully result with an increase in post count.

Giving it away just won't work.

Things I wouldn't want to see:

Productive posts competition, referall contest, style contest, programing contest.

Things I would like to see:

Something statistical where the winner would be judged on facts and figures, not opinions and possible biases

We already had a productive post competition. That worked rather well. We are looking into referral options, but due to spoofed/fake signups, etc . I am not too fund of taking it serious. Styles, Designs, Hacking, etc .. not what I am looking for either.

Something statistical? Like what? Sounds interesting.

Definately not the most posts or referal. Need something original... Umm... I don't know. I'll give it some thought.
