"Join date" for usergroup (not registration)

I'm just wondering if anyone has added some sort of time stamp to usergroups at all? I'm looking for a way to indicate when a member was upgraded to a new usergroup in addition to their joindate but no records are kept in standard vB3 files with regards to usergroup changes.
