mp3 upload area
Hi,
We're wanting to allow our members to be able to upload their original music files, and want to know if it's possible to allow an .mp3 upload go to a location on a different server (where we have tons of storage space)? What we would ultimately like to do is allow the member to upload their file with a ng message, then have the posted message display the audio link with a play and download button such as this: http://www.recordingproject.com/bbs/...pic.php?t=7798 (sorry, couldn't find a vBulletin example). But the primary goal is to allow the uploading of mp3s (which I know how to do), but have them go to a different server location (which I don't know how to do.) Is anyone aware of a hack for vBulletin that might allow this? Thanks in advance! Jeanne |

Wow man, that is a sweet mod! I have to second this, one thing to keep in mind about VB and Windows Media Player is that once they open an attached MP3 from VB that launches WMP it will then log them off of the board. VB is aware of this and has noted it as a bug in WMP.

VBulletin itself doesn?t have the possibility to transfer attachments to a remote server from the database and most likely will not do so in the future.
But maybe you can take a look at https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=70565 AND https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=60403 edit: and eventually this: http://www.securedownloads.net/index.php |
