Change or add second $forum[lastpostinfo]
I have installed the colums hack and I am trying to modify the $forum[lastpostinfo] information (for just that area).
First problem is I don't see where to change it And the second problem is I want the default to stay default and just change the way it displays in that one area. Basicaly I just want to show a line with something like this 09-12-2004 12:00 PM by username |

sorry it was my mistake, you suppose to go
vBulletin Options - Date and Time Options and look for "Format For Date" and replace it with m-d-Y |

Thanks but I only want it to be altered for one forum area, not all. If you check out http://forums.aliensoup.com/index.php? you will see what I mean. Check out the column area on the forum. That is what I am trying to do. Just change the info like they have.

i dont understand what your trying to ask, because the format you want is already in the default of vb3, and its basicly the sameway aliensoup.com has it.
can you please tell me what version of vbulletin your using . |

Heh. I'm not sure you get what I am asking. The default $forum[lastpostinfo] variable contains, the post title, the post time (with line break), user titie, etc.
I'm just trying to find what variable I can use to display what I mentioned above. I thought it would be a simple as something like $forum[lastposttime] by: $forum[lastpostuser] My "guess" is it is that easy. I just can't find the right combo of variables to display "last post time for this forum" and "last post in this forum by" 3.0.3 by the way. |

ok their are two places to edit the way you want the last post to be displayed is the Threadbit templates and the forumhome_lastpostby template both those templates has variables to edit your lastpost info.

Thanks. The variables in the second template did the trick.
I appreciate it. |
