Just Wondering
Hello,
I currently own a few forums, some ipb, and am thinking on starting some new ones, on vb. While I can upgrade most of these to vbulletin, a few of those can not be upgraded. With my forum networks however, i have a 'one user id for all sites' rule. (I currently have the one user database serving all of the user accounts) Is it possible to have the one database serving both ipb and vb forums, therefore eg If i am already signed up at my invision forums, I am pre-registered at the new vbulletin or If i sign up to my invision forum, my user id will also work on the vb ones (and visa versa) Is there jsut a simple variable page I can edit, or is this at all possible? That would require some custom coding as it's currently not a default function of vB.
It also won't be that easy probably,as one would have to change databases and vB and IPB don't have the same tables anyway. |
