How is this possible?
I want to direct my users to a custom page full of FAQs before they get access to the main forum. I would prefer a small checkbox at the bottom of the page (to say they've read the faqs) which must be checked to allow access to the forum. Is this possible? I was thinking they'd join perhaps a new usergroup until they ticked the box and submitted, but can't think how to do this...... All help appreciated. |

i would suggest you to simply go to your Phrase Manager, edit the phrase "forum_ rules_ description" ...and make it your default FAQ...
so when entering the registration process, users have to check the page, with the "I have read, and agree to abide by the board rules." checkbox... then you don't need to add a specific page for FAQ, you simply have to edit that phrase or the template to make a more complete page itself... |

Yeah, but the bottom line is people do NOT read them if given only a check box to say they did. I totally agree with the original request and have also asked about this before. It is a MUST if you have a large board like mine. I need to be able to cut down on posts people make that we restrict. |
