Top X Stats - Permissions for Latest Post

This is my very first hack. It allows you to set usergroups that will bypass the $excludedforums variable and show all the latest posts, regardless of the forum. This is very useful if you want staff to see new threads in the staff forum on the Top X, but not regular members.

You must have the Top X Stats hack installed first!

Open index.php

Find:

PHP Code:

$excludedforums = "13"; // forums to be excluded from latest threads. Format "0,5,7"

Above, add:

PHP Code:

$privlagedgroups = "1"; //which groups should see everything?
if ($privlagedgroups == $bbuserinfo['usergroupid'])
{
$excludedforums ="0";
}
else
{

Find:

PHP Code:

$excludedforums = "13"; // forums to be excluded from latest threads. Format "0,5,7"

Below, add:

PHP Code:

}

Closed and upload index.php

Enjoy!

Is that saying that Unregistered / Not Logged In is a "privaledged" (the correct spelling is 'privileged') group?

That's usergroup 1...

[gfxhavenowner]

1 was just used as an example. For me, the usegroup is 6. Change the 1 to whatever usergroup you want to be privlaged.

How come it doesn't allow multiple usergroups to be added to the privelaged list? oO
