Custom thread msg for designated boards

I'm looking for a mod or method that would allow me to put a small message at the top of the first post in every thread for select board(s) within my forum. This would be useful for boards where you wish to convey a disclaimer but don't want to stick it in a sticky message that might be missed or ignored. It would need to be added to the message dynamically to ensure changes to the message are shown real time and editing of the message would not allow removal of the text.

Is there a mod that does this, or might someone with the skills find it of enough worth to create it?

is the message the same all the time? or should it be variable for every thread?

if the message is static, you could do the following:


1) Edit both the Postbit and Postbit_Legacy templates.

2) find:

		<!-- message -->
		<div>$post[message]</div>
		<!-- / message -->

3) before that, insert the following:

		<!-- message -->
		<if condition="$post['postcount'] == 1">
			<if condition="$forumid==1 OR $forumid==2">
				<div><strong>

				Your Disclaimer Goes Here

				</strong></div>
				<br />
			</if>
		</if>
		<!-- / message -->

Make sure you change the numbers for the ForumID to whichever forums you want your message to appear in.

Thats it... it will insert a bold message directly above your post, on the first post in every thread in those forums only.

obviously this is only any good if your message is not too dynamic... since its coded into your template

I can barely manage template mods, but I am no use to you if you need a more complex hack.
