When I upload a style, I want it to take on the default's hacks I have installed. It never works, no matter whether I make the default the parent style or not.

Any ideas on how to do that?

manually do this: change the style you want to default, and reinstall those hacks with templates only, this would have that style work.
is that what you need ?

I think so. So the hacks only work on the style you install it in? Unless you specify all child styles?
