Unique thread views

Hi,

Is it possible to have the views of a thread be unique. ie the count only increases for each NEW view - so that if the same user views the same thread multiple times, the thread view counter only increases by +1.

This will prevent users creating a thread and just viewing it over and over again themselves (or having other users do it) and pushing up the thread views count until it appears to be a hot topic.

Is this do-able? I only want that count to icrease for each NEW/unique user view.

That would require massive amounts of storage.

the only thing that can be done is to NOT-count the views made by the author of the thread...

also, can be done a "not-count if the read is already read" ... as we have that feature (mark this forum as read)... but this would make a real overload in the system...

this request is made by someone that have problems with some users hey ... keep in mind that you will have twisted users everywhere.. if it's not their postcount, or readcount, it will be their signature that is too big, or their avatar too ugly...
