Can I?
I recently took over my friends RPG. I bought my own licence for VB3 and I've installed it on my own host etc. He used vb2 when it was his licence. He sent me a copy of the database because his web hosting ended and I took over the RPG. I was wondering if there was a way I could import the vb2 database into my new vb3 forums?

sure, use ImpEx, downloadable in the members area.
It says here: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=100464 that the vb2 version is released and testing, so you could use that or optionally you could upgrade to vb3 and then use the vb3 importer. |

You should be able to create a database - import the vB2 structure and content, then install your vB3 files on the server, edit config.php and then run the upgrade script - easy as...
