Default Autousergroup Hack, Autopassword Hack

Hey,

I'm all with requests today. You see, I'm doing a Harry Potter board, and in the welcome PM, with the welcome PM hack, you'd get a message like this.

Welcome, Welcome!

We'd like you to bla bla bla <!-- auto username hack --> and you have been sorted into <!-- auto usergroup hack -->. The password to get into your Common Room is <!-- auto userpassword hack --> the end.

Now, I'm sure the usergroup hack is possible, I'm just not sure about the password hack. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...password+forum
This hack is just for certain forums, but is it possible to somehow include the password within the pm, for what group you're sorted in.

Lets say you're a Hufflepuff, you can't see Slytherin's forum at all, or enter it even if you had the password. But, it's just a cool addon where you have to remember the pm or check it.

If you can help, I'll be eternally grateful. My ideas may be very large, but I'm sure they're possible. :nervous:

If no - one can do the auto - password hack, is there or can someone generously make a forum permission hack saying, "Can view other usergroups Threads in Forum Yes No". Because I can't really think of another way to distribute passwords without revealing them to the other side. This excludes threads from mods and such though.

So ... you've got several forums which are protected by usergroup and password, and you want to randomly assign new members to one usergroup.
Then you want to auto PM them their usergroup and password to access their forum.

Right?

Sorry for the unclearness, a thousand of ideas are bubbling in my head.

Here's what I want to do.

Guest registers, and takes sorting quiz.

New user was sorted into Slytherin and can now access the rest of the board. He tries to access the Slytherin forum, but, oops! You need a password, it says to check his Welcome PM.

The welcome PM says, "You've been sorted into [usergroup]Slytherin! To access the forum you must insert this password [passwordofforum] Ihatemudbloods."

The new user is happy.

- - -

So whenever the password changes, they can reference that thread. And even if they announced their password to others, the other groups wouldn't be able to access eachothers groups anyways due to permissions. They could even do <- - - autopassword - - > if they wanted to remind themselves in threads what their new password is.

OK, seems like I understood it so far.

Sorry, I meant Pm. I'm looking for something like the autoname hack. Except it's autogroup, and autopassword. I'm really not sure if the autopassword would be possible though. The reason why I want there to be an autopassword is because the password to the forum may change, and you can easily write the autopassword code or check your pm to see if its changed. Do you get it? I'll explain more clearly if you don't.

- The autoname hack allows the user to see their own name, and I want an autopassword hack so they can see the "group" password of their forum. I'm not sure if this is possible though, looking at the way the password hack works.

Which autopassword code?
M8, i'd like to help you but it doesn't seem like I understand what you want to achieve

As far as I've understood it by now you want to auto PM all members of a specific group the password to a specific forum when it is being changed?
