I'm sure people are getting to my forums -- how do I get them to post!!?

Here's my story:

• My forums have been around for awhile -- over half a decade, in fact.
• I require e-mail verification.
• I've banned hotmail and yahoo e-mail addresses.
• I'm ranked number one in Google.
• I've implemented this: Community: Improve your community registration & posting rates in 3 simple steps.
• I have an arcade.
• I have a chatroom.
• I have a doodleboard.
• I have journals.

How come in the past nine days, I only have 41 new members? And of those 41, only eight have made any posts?

HELP! PLEASE!

Nobody cares about arcades, chats, or other addons that everybody else has. You need to offer unique content and actively participate in your discussions. Also, be patient, although that kind of turnout after six years is none too hot.

Also, allow Hotmail and Yahoo unless you have very severe problems with it.

Well, are asian-only forums popular or are you simply appealing to a niche that is just too small (no disrepect intended if it sounded like that)?

I don't think the niche is really THAT small, given the success of commercial sites like asianavenue.com. I'd be happy with the 41 members in 8 days -- if they all became active members and posted.

The forums aren't really Asian-only -- I guess from your post that that's the impression you're getting?

Eh, i think your fine, there is no 100% conversion rate, its usualy 2-5%. which is about what you have no. So be happy

All forums are slowing down during this vacation-type season, it just may be the timing.
