I swapped hosts, so i backup the ssql of my forums, its 30 mb. I uploaded all the files, then i went to phpmyadmin, rtried to upload th sql, but its that big my computer and internet explorer locks up. So, i tried it manually, whgich took about 6/7 hours and i just get this: http://216.67.228.125/~grealms/vb . So, im very annoyed and im at a ;loss to what to do. I need that database, its got all out websites content (which is a lot!) all the hacks ive instaleld, which i wouldnt sweat pver doing again, not to mention the members, the posts, all the forums. I could not be bothered doing it again, when i actually have the SQL. Antonbomb, sugegsted i did it through my cpanel in backyup, but all that did was uploaded the sql name. I contacted my host and he said i would have to consult the vB community about it, as ppl swap hosts and servers all the time. What shall i do? I reallty need help.

According to the MySQL error on that page, your MySQL server is down - You have to contact the host about this (Or maybe the info in config.php is incorrect)

Are you sure? I thought it was a mistake i did. If so, thats good news.

Well the MySQL error is:

So MySQL being down is usually the cause of that error

Are you sure your new host has mysql?

Look the sql on, as i just did a fresh installtion: http://www.simply-web-hosting.net/~grealms/forums/

What shall i do? I need my backup sql on the forums

there must be a way, people change servers everyday, with a larger sql file size than i have.

Did you restore the SQL file?
Did you edit your config to match your new host?

30mb is too large for a signel upload, your better off using SSH if its possible, or your going to have to copy and paste chunks
