BitTorrent is a file sharing program that uses "Torrent" files to load up the download information. Such sites that provide Torrents for use are SuprNova.org.

I would really appreciate it if someone could make a hack for vBulletin to work as a frontend for a BitTorrent Tracker, displaying at a minimum the leechers, seeds, and downloads. This has already been done for IPB, so I dont' see why it shouldn't be done for vB.

So anyone up to it?

I think im right in thinking that vBulletin doesnt support warez/p2p

& as not many sites will want this feature its more of a custome hack u want.

BitTorrent isn't really warez, as the software itself is legal. Running the trackers are legal as well.

All someone else would have to do is so that when a download is posted, the seeds/leechers/downloads would be called as well, probably using scrape.

In theory I know how this would work, but I know nothing about PHP, so I unforunately can't make this hack myself.

Then why use that hack + take the seed part out of IPB script/hack then u got it

I always wanted to get one of this. I had one in my old Invision board, now i have switched over to VB.. so wondering if anyone has these sort of hack ?

It basically scrapes info from each .torrent file and display them wherever want it to display.

The Bittorrent system isn't illegal or warez.. Its just a technolgy. Someone pls give this a try

I know there are sites using such a mod, i am NEEDING one exactly like that. I asked here, so someone would either implement it or post it if they have it already.

I am so desperate to have this mod!
