I miss being able to check-mark specific members on my buddy list and send them all a PM. I'd love a hack to add that feature back in to vB3.

DOH! From the Quick Links menu, select "Open Buddy List". There's the old checklist for PMing buddies!

.....still learning to get around the great vB3

I suppose the code could be integrated back into the UserCP, but it doesn't really seem worth it.
