Wanting to merge 2 vBulletins...
I have 2 vBulletin boards I want to merge together -- one is my prodection board, hacked to hell, vBulletin 2.3.0. The other is a nearly-new vBulletin 3 Gold fresh install that I have made private to set up and hack so that it provides almost the same functionality as my vB2 production boards.
All I really need are the posts and users to be copied from a vB2 board to an existing vB3 board. My idea was to shut my entire production site down, upgrade it to vB3, and then just move the "post" and "user" tables (well maybe a few others lol) into my new database. Yes I realize it's slightly more complicated then that. Anyone have any better ideas? (Remember, upgrading my production boards to vB3 is not an option, as there is already a vB3 install ready for my site, pre-hacked. I must somehow get my users/posts from one forum to another.) |

I'll assume my way is the easiest way... Since nobody else has any ideas....

Unfortunately, doing that would just say that every file is one big change if I go from 2.x to 3.x Quote:
