Hi. I am upgrading to VB3Gold and would like to know how to block Supermods from viewing IPs both in posts and in profiles.

Well im guessing your here cuz its not standard, with out hacking the quickest way would be to just assign them as mods to every category you have.

I dont mind hacking if it's not a lot of places.
I'd rather use the Supermod and just block that one detail.

In the Usergroup Manager > Who's Online Permissions > Can View IP Addresses
just set it to 'no' for the SuperModerators. |

Hi Boofo! That only blocks them from seeing whosonline. They can still see IPs in the posts and in the user panel.

That should block it board-wide. If it doesn't, I would say to just use a conditonal in the postbit and postbit_legacy for the posts IP. Where is the IP shown in the user cp?
EDIT: You're right, that does only block the Who's Online. Try the conditional and I will inverstigate it further. |
