some calendar mods (reward offered)
I run a event website that is in need of some updates in the way our calendar + event forum is ran. The new remake of the vB3 calendar gives me the perfect opportunity to bust outta the current mess they are in.
multiple attachments in calendar -- pretty self explainitory on new event made, create thread in forum XX -- this is the tricky one. I need a forum where users can post replies but not thread. I want every new event posted to create a linking thread between the two. taking info from the event (date, time, user, attachments) and converting that into a thread in a specific forum. this process needs to work seperatly for different calendars. (ie the club calendar creates threads in the club forum, and the meetings calendar creates threads in the meeting forum) admin ability to bold calendar event title (in calendar mode) --the option for admins to bold a listing on the calendar I have a couple more, bud these are what I really need. I doubt many out there would require such a specific mod, so im gunna up an reward for doing them. up to $50us (via paypal) depending on how well or elaboriate it is. Im willing to haggle on other money suggestions, just please pm me or msn me (snyx@shaw.ca) Leave the forum to discuss the mods, not the money. thanks, myles (lol, excuse the spelling) |

A few Questions:
> on new event made, create thread in forum XX When you create an event on calendar "party" a new thread should be created in the "party" forum. In this forum users can only reply to existing threads, but not create their own ones. What about attachments? Do you want to
What if a new thread is created (let's say by an admin) in the "party" forum, should this also cause a new event to be created in the apropriate calendar? |

the threads ported from the calendar will basically be threads with extra info sent over from the event post. (attachments, date, time, ect..) |

i'd also be very interested in something like this, also with the addition of calendar event categories. for example, calender would list 3 events in the design category, 4 events in entertainment category, 1 event in news category for a specific day. events should be searchable by category, or calender could be set to only allow specific categories (user setting) to be displayed. category amounts and titles should be admin defined, and relevant forum id's added in the admin cp.
each event thread (if wanted) would be posted to a thread in a specific forum, depending on calender category it was listed in. 'read reply(ies)' button/link would appear in the event if a thread was made with the original event. thread should contain a portion of the event in the first post, perhaps in something similar to the 'quote box'. this, coupled with the above features previously mentioned would be a great addition for many boards, and i'd be willing to pay if necessary. thanks in advance. |

One of our super moderators has been requesting this for a long time, so if someone puts together a decent hack we would be interested. I am sure many people would want to install this idea.
(Just giving this thread a bump!) |

Multiple Attachments in events is already sorted & available..Calendar events to thread is available for 2.3x so it's only takes somebody to port it over
