Would like to be able to automatically resize uploaded attachments to meet the pre-set dimensions I've established in the cp.

I would like this also. It is listed as a "suggested feature" in Vb3.x but there are no plans to implement it in the next version.

This would be a quick and dirty alternative to hacked image galleries.
