Hi i dnt know if any 1 can help ,me but im aving a few problems with my board

when i check whos online kln my forums

I get ppl with the same I.P addy with a number different i sumtimes av bout 40 of them online!
i personally think they are leechs but how can i stop this

Also i get emails now with virus in them to my email addy .
and it ses reply to sumones name

eg:

chris@nok-forums.co.uk
peter etc etc but i dnt have emails set up for them i have like 40 a day its doin my ed in can any 1 help me

OK - this is two separate things.

1) the numerous people browsing your forum are Search Engine spiders, looking for stuff to eat <= if you are using vB3, there is a facility to distinguish these built into the AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Who's Online display > Spider display <- turn this on

2) the emails you are getting are a part of a global phonomenon called a pain in the a$$ spate of viruses ... <= nothing can be done apart from getting your email server to block email sent to addresses that are not actual addresses you have set up ...

They are reading in your posts so that when people search, they will find your forum. When people do searches on Google or Yahoo for 3 and 4 word search phrases and the spiders have taken in your archive, the users will find your site and become a good source of new traffic.
