Default Dividing the screen into two? Can this be done?

I want to create a forum for two radio services, with the left hand side of the page with the forums for one service, and the right hand side of the page for the forums of the other. In order to do this, I need it to look different than every vBulletin site I have seen. Every vBulletin site I have been on has all the forums listed in a linear fashion--i.e., each new row in the table represents a new forum to click on and go in (the typical setup you see in vBulletin sites). The only columns are for "Last Post", "Threads", etc. I don't want any of that. Just "XM General Discussion" and then right to the right of that in another column, "Sirius General Discussion." Kind of a side by side thing--in a word, essentially two vBulletin forums--one forum on the left 50% of the screen, and the competing service right to the right 50% of the screen.

In a sense this would look like two vBulletin sites in one--the left hand side being the XM side, and the right hand side being the Sirius side. In order to fit this in, I don't need information posted about each forum like "Last Post" and "Threads" and "Posts." Just the forum name and an indicator if there are new posts in that forum. Just imagine this site but in the space under "Last Post," "Threads," and "Posts" there is just more forums to click on that resemble the exact same topic to the left of it, only with the different radio service.

Get the picture? I can learn how to do this on my own, so my question is basically CAN your software be customized to do this, or am I stuck with a linear presentation. I figure this should be very easy for your software to do, since it is just a matter of two columns in a table rather than just one.

With the templates, you can do almost anything with the look of it. It's more up to your imagination than anything else. If you can think it, you can make it look like that.
