Profile option under Avatar?

I'm looking for a way that I can add a text feild to the user profile page and have what the user types in appear below the avatar when they post. I know this has been made, I just can't find it. If any one knows what it is called, I'll search again using the name.

this is really a template question but a simple one

try $post[fieldX]

replace X with the number of the custom profile field id
