Create PDF
I'm currently working on a big project and I thought I'd make a request in case someone is working on something similar...
Anyway, I would like to enable users to create PDF files out of threads (main post). If you are working on something like this give me a holler. thank you |

haven`t worked on this myself, but I saw this at sourceforge the other day, and some investigation into this might help you some...

<a href="http://www.pdflib.com" target="_blank">PDFLib</a> could also be helpful, but is rather expensive.

Some of you may ask why PDF? PDF will allow users to download content in a printed format that will look the same across many platforms ... browsers, pda, web appliances, etc, etc... a feature like this would be GREAT for businesses. |

Yep. Such a feature would be deffo great. The main question is if you want to keep the original layout (eg. Style) within the PDF. I think this could become somewhat difficult.
Something like the "print version"-thread display might be much easier to convert. When I got enough spare time (which currenlty isn't the case) I think i'll play around a bit with this ... |

I am more interested in the "formatting of content" that is submitted ... not the layout of the site.
