Prevent Double Posting

Can someone do a port of the VB2 hack that prevented double posting by automatically editing the previous post with the contents of the new one if the poster made the last post on the thread within a certain time frame and had no attachments? (Phew, huge run on sentence.) It was incredibly helpful when I ran VB2 and I hope someone can recreate it.

Then wouldn't that just remove the old content of the old post?

I'm talking about that one. And it adds the new post on to the old one.

It sounds really awesome - I would love to have this hack, as well. At the moment, I'm editing togeather all double posts by hand, but this would save me loads of time.

I'd like to get rid of the not merging posts if the new one has an attachment, though.

Okay Xenon said he will be releasing this hack sooner or later, so I'll leave that for him

i released a template mod to make sure the quick reply is no longer there, however it did not totaly prevent dbl posting

(with the vb3 attachmentsystem this could become interesting )

Yes this one I would like as wel. Solved alot of double posting on my vb2 site.
