Hello,
I have been working on converting the spell checking hack that I made for my phpBB forum to vb 3 (waited on converting my forum until vb 3 was out because of the many mods I did and would lose)... I am needing a little help with how I want to implement a few things (not coding wise, but end user wise). So far, I have my spell checker working with both the regular text box and the new WYSIWYG boxes, but have run into a slight issue... On our old phpBB forum, I allowed users to enter a few HTML tags, and of course there were the BB Codes. As such, I had the spell check "output" screen output the text as entered (rather than show like a preview would, it would show it as the [url] or <b>), which I did not have any problems with as the users would have actually entered those codes and would not be confused. Now, with the WYSIWYG, I have the possibility of the users not having a clue how to enter or even what BB Codes and / or HTML code is (of course on the converted forum I will not be allowing any HTML). Now, that doesn't even take into account the really NASTY HTML code it creates... So, should I: - Output WYSIWYG HTML converted into BB Code? - Output WYSIWYG HTML only pretty preview-type format? - Output all BB Codes / WYSIWYG HTML in pretty preview-type format? Thanks for any input you can give me... I do not want to ask my own users, as I am surprising them with the upgrade and do not want to spoil the surprise (that and they would be hounding me every hour for status updates and "how much longer?"). Thanks again!! Nikki |

I really hate bumping something so trivial, but really could use some feedback...
