Newbie question · **Released**: 12-18-2003

Hi, I am not sure if this is the right forum to ask in but here goes anyway, I am have recently just installed VB to my site having previously used PHPBB forums and I am very happy with the standard install, but now I want to mod it a little to suit my users etc, I have done mods in PHPBB and found it okay but now on VB i donwload a mod and when I look in my forum dir via FTP some of the files to edit I cant see, expecially TPL (template files) am I looking in the wrong place are they hidden or something?

Anyone able to help?

vbulletins templates are not file based there all kept in the database

for vb2 try the templates link at the bottom of the ACP

for vb3 use the Style Manager

You have to love vbulletin's template system, it is much more organized that what I have seen from other message boards. Glad that you're happy with vbulletin.
