Default Hardware pictures.
Rarely do I boast, but.. today is a special occasion. I just got my new Dell Dimension 4600c, after having the last crappy broken Compaq laptop for almost 4 years.

I'm incredibly enthused, as I've been saving up money forever for this. It feels extremely strange to be back on a desktop after so long.

This computer is way nice. The monitor is larger and more clear than I thought, and the computer is more silient than my laptop.

Quick specs:
1 gig of DDR Ram (2 dimms), Intel 2.6ghz, Intel Graphics Card, 17in Flat-display monitor.

I've already bought a better graphics card, a Radeon 9600SE.

Overall, since I'm not much of a gamer, this will be an excellent development machine.

The shipment also came with a free Kodak digital camera (priced at $160) which works nicely.

It was all $1450.

I would have saved money if only I could have configured it without an operating system, since I have Windows XP Pro on a CD. That's the positives to building custom. Though I'm way too busy (and lazy) to build a custom pc.

nice price but i cant imagine where you are going to fit extra HDs if you want to upgrade. Love the monitor

Not often am I ever in need of extra drive space. Extra drives to me is simply superfluous. If I need more space, I'll swap my current with a larger drive.
