i have alot of members signing up but not posting .... what can i do to change this ? how can i get them to post ?

Steer your forum and build your content by posting a few on topic posts a day. Give them something to reply to. It's alot of work sometimes.
Post welcome messages, maybe they will reply and give you a hint as to why they are there and then start a topic about that. Post on topic news links and ask for opinions or relative experience responses. These things seem to help us.

Me I hacked mine so if they do not post they do not see anything.
I am in process of making them have to post so many times a week if not they will not see. To make up for the morons that will just post some dumb thing I have mods who will ban them. I feel if they have no interest they do not need to be on my site.
