i seem to be getting a lot of outages on my site lately (past few months) and alot of the time it's just plain old slow, i reported it to my host, they blamed it on one of the jumps but it's starting to ++++ me off, any suggestions?

Find a new host. Your host is probably overcrowding the server and the server probably has a small-ish connection (low speed).

How much bandwidth are you pusing a month?

11gb average but we peaked at 18 over the summer

Then your host isn't too good, I recommend finding a new host. UnitedHosting.co.uk are pretty good if you want a good shared account.

i emailed them and they said that they're likely to change what server i'm on as my site uses so much resources

so hopefully things will improve
