Importing from Discus 4.0
I'm considering purchasing vbulletin, but before I do so, I need to know if there are hacks which can convert my Discus board to a new and improved vBulletin board. This is what I have:
Discus Pro 4.00.6 running on MySQL version 4.0.15 1725 users 20103 messages in 3349 pages under 20 topics What I need to do is to import the entire board. Now I've searched this board finding a number of users (or potential users) looking for hacks to do this import, but I haven't seen anyone posting their success. Please help, this is urgent since I'd really like to switch over. Discus is really too large right now, (about 250 mb) and it's bogging down my server. For those not knowing much about Discus, everything you need to know is here http://www.discusware.com Thanks!!! Bryan |

I think you should rather contact Jelsoft about this on vbulletin.com and ask them if they are planning a Discus-importer for vB3. If they reckon it's worth working on, it'll probably be part of the default package

Hi KuraFire,
Thanks! But I posted there about a month ago and they recommended that I post here asking if anyone has done this, or if there are any hacks available. I'm hoping there are since there seems to be a number of threads pertaining to this. Bryan |
