Keeping up with Name Changes

Has anyone come up with a way to handle name changing?

Here's what I mean. We have Points installed and allow members to change thier username using thier points. But it is getting so frequent that nobody knows who is who.

Has anyone come up with a method to put an icon next to a person's name kinda like ebay's sunglasses?
