[TO DO] warning for newthread in release area

i know there used to be an agrement page that you had to read before posting a new thread in the release section, i belive you guys should do the same again but with some if statments to keep the newbies from posting support topics there by acident

and with the statement, there should be a check box thats if not clicked will not let them submit the new post

the check box being an agreement to posting a new hack

Wow how did we forget about this. You're right - this was one of the most important things on vBulletin.org when it was running vb2. A countdown on the submit button before it can be clicked of say 30seconds would be nice too (as an addition to what we had )

and it would slow down the process for experienced hackers to do so, you forgot...

well i didnt suggest the 30 seconds, just somthing that would tell the ppl that by posting a new thread you are releasing a hack. something big and important looking

but just checking a box doesnt seem like a big deal to me for hackers to submit, plus i think that it might be nice to have the option to either garuntee support or not again

I think the 30 second thing is not a bad idea at all. Experienced hackers could simply leave the page be for 30 seconds then click submit...

I think we are waiting for RC at this point. We are trying to keep hacking to a minimum here. Upgrading is already hard enough as it is.
