what is holding you back from upgrading to vb3?

If you're like me, you are thinking wether to upgrade to vbulletin 3 or not. I myself am not upgrading at this time because I have too many "precious" hacks. I.E. quick edit, sig edit, the arcade, the store, and other miscellaneous hacks. This is really the only reason why I wont go vbulletin3. I'm sure the hacks that I have on my board will be updated to vb3 but until then I am not upgrading :tired:

yes I agree, I just don't have the time to upgrade all of the hacks. I wish there was a way to automatically include all of the hacks in the update to VB3.

Exactly the same reason here. I love my hacks (well, they ain't "mine" but I love 'em).

I guess maybe the hacks that I cant live without will come out eventually.... but until they do I will not upgrade.

I have both running. Hacks used to be a big thing to me till I started hacking.

If there is something I realy wanted on my vb3 I would just convert it or make it.

Both have good points and bad. But over all I think vb3 is better.

I reckon nearly every hack released for vB2 will be rereleased by someone, the only bad thing is if they don't get permission from the original author to do it.

Yup, hacks here too... and the fact I use VBPortal and they're not releasing the new version til the proper VB3 is issued *grin*

I can't write hacks, so I have to rely on you guys to do them for me LOL so there's no chance of me trying to incorporate what's there into VB3 until you lovely lot do it

I also found that once I became good enough at PHP, that hacks weren't important. I can add full featured hacks in one day to a vB3 now, so it's not a problem. I upgraded to beta3 when it came out .
